5 of the Best Fall Coffee Drinks in Columbus and Where to Get Them

It’s hard to believe that it’s already October! It truly seems like we just blinked and summer came and went. Thankfully, Columbus is a particularly beautiful place to live during the autumn month – especially as the leaves change into vibrant colors.

As an avid coffee drinker, I just can’t resist the flavors of fall! From pumpkin spice to cinnamon to apple, fall flavors are some of the best, and fall-focused coffee drinks are perfect to enjoy on a chilly autumn morning. I’m sharing some of my favorite fall coffee drinks that you can enjoy right here in the 614. All of these drinks are delicious and full of flavor, while also being super warming and good for the soul.

Crimson Cup Maple Spiced Latte

1. Crimson Cup’s Maple Spiced Latte

While many think that their Pumpkin Spice Latte is the superior drink, I think that Crimson Cup’s Maple Spiced Latte is just as fall forward flavor-wise! The Maple Spiced Latte is your regular latte with added maple syrup and topped with cinnamon and nutmeg, giving it such an amazing autumn flavor. Next time you’re at Crimson Cup’s Clintonville or Upper Arlington location, swap out your regular pumpkin spice latte for a maple spiced latte!

The Roosevelt Coffeehouse S’Mortado

2. The Roosevelt Coffeehouse’s S’Mortado

I know what you’re thinking… “What the heck is that?” The Roosevelt’s signature fall and winter drink is just what it sounds like… a cortado crossed with your classic campfire treat – a S’More! If you’re unfamiliar, a cortado is an espresso drink where the shot of espresso is combined with warm milk. The S’Mortado is a cortado serve in a glass with chocolate and graham cracker crumbs around the rim and a toasted marshmallow right on top! It’s basically your favorite fall campfire treat in a glass!

3. Fox in The Snow’s Chai Latte

While Chai Lattes aren’t seen as an exclusively fall or autumn drink, the warm blend of spices that make up chai tea has a fall taste to them! The Fox in the Snow’s chai lattes are especially delicious, and they have a plethora of pastries (made in house!) that you can pair your drink with!

One Line Coffee’s Pumpkin Spice Latte

4. One Line Coffee’s Pumpkin Spice Latte

It wouldn’t be a fall coffee drink list without at least one PSL! One Line Coffee’s pumpkin spice latte is made with housemade syrup and real pumpkin. This is the first time that One Line has ever served PSLs, but I can guarantee that you won’t be able to tell! It has everything you love about your PSLs from major coffee shop chains, without the over-sweetened or artificial taste. Don’t take my word for it, make sure to grab one next time you’re shopping in the Short North!

5. Stauf’s Chai-Der

It’s exactly what it sounds like… chai + cider! This drink totally screams fall and is totally the drink you want to have in hand when you’re at the pumpkin patch with your family! Stauf’s pairs the classic taste of apple cider with the classic spices that make up chai (cardamom, cinnamon, star-anise, etc!) You can top off this deliciously spiced drink with a dollop of whipped cream and cinnamon to taste!

As the weather gets colder and the daylight hours get shorter, hot coffee drinks are a MUST to get through your day! Have you tried any of these delicious drinks? Do you have a favorite fall drink you can get in Columbus that wasn’t on the list? If so, let me know! Maybe you’ll help me find a new favorite to add to the list!
